She is very fond of storytelling.
Alex has released many singles such as Waste Of Time, Happy Song, and I Think You’re Great.
She was 18 years old when she relocated to New York after receiving a soccer scholarship at Long Island University.
On March 31, 2017, Alex released her debut EP titled To Whom It May Concern, which included the single Already Home (2016).
In the year 2018, she was the headline tour for Welsh-Australian musician Stella Donnelly.
She named her record label Minkowski Records, after the spacetime diagram that is also known as the Minkowski diagram.
While studying at Long Island University, she did a thesis on sonoluminescence. Also, she was on the college football team for the LIU Post Pioneers.
The music that she releases is said to be of an amazing combination of folk-pop and folktronica. Her style is often compared to the likes of musician Paul Maurice Kelly.
She is commonly recognized as “Australia’s most powerful and important songwriters.”
Alex has performed at various festivals including the Laneway Festival, Party In The Paddock, Beer & Cider Festival, and The Drop Festival.
In April 2020, Alex started a fundraiser in order to help contribute to the purchase of PPE kits for the medical facilitators who were working to help save patients suffering from COVID-19.
